In line with the article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal and upon the recommendation of the cabinet on 18th of
September 2016, the Right Honorable President Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari today the 19th of September 2016
sanctioned the amnesty of remaining prison terms of 537 (five hundred and thirty-seven) prisoners including
Ghanendra Ijam who having a good conduct during the imprisonment and deemed to be reduced the remaining prison
terms as per the Section 12 of Senior Citizen Act-2006, by-law (1) and (2 A) of law 29 of Prison Regulations
(Amended)-1963, and the Procedure Concerning Punishment Amnesty, Suspension, and Change-2016.
