Constitution Day Celebration 2016

On the occasion of one of Nepalese national days, the Constitution Day-2016, the Right Honorable President Mrs Bidya
Devi Bhandari graced a cultural program and participated in a dinner party organized in the honor of friendly nations’
ambassadors, chiefs of missions, and their spouses at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas on 19th of September
2016. Welcoming all invitees to the program, the Right Honorable President stated that the first constitution written
by the people and for the people aimed at creating an equitable and just society, so it was the responsibility of people,
political parties, and the head of the government to effectively implement the constitution. In her address, the Right
Honorable President complimented the friendly countries for their good wishes for furthering the democratic
processes, strengthening constitutional system, and speeding the socio-economic development of Nepal. Her
Excellency expected the continuation of such good wishes and cooperation from friendly countries and thanked all for
their gracious presence at the program. The Right Honorable Prime Minister, Right Honorable Chief Justice, Honorable
Deputy Prime Minister, Honorable Ministers, former dignitaries, Honorable Ministers of State, heads of the
constitutional bodies, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal, high placed government officials, heads of
security agencies were also present on the occasion.
