In line with the section 8 (3) of Military Act 2006 and upon the recommendation of the cabinet, the Right Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari today the 4th of November 2016 appointed Nepal Army’s B. No. 1181, Chief of General Staff (CGS), Lt Gen Baladev Raj Mahat as the acting Chief of the Army to look after the daily administrative works during the absence of the Chief of the Army (COAS) Gen Rajendra Chhetri, who is visiting Bangladesh from 15 to 20 November 2016 upon the invitation of the Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, NDC, PSC.
