President of Interpol Calls on the Right Honorable President

A team of delegates of Honorary Consular Corps-Nepal (HCCN) called on the Right Honorable President Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday the 25thof January 2017. During the meeting, the Dean of HCCN Mr Shreeram Lamichhane and other consulars briefed about their activities.

On the occasion, the Right Honorable President urged that as the honorary consulars and other consulars were like the diplomatic representative of the concerning country, they should sincerely act to enhance the dignity of Nepal and Nepalese people by strengthening social, economic, and cultural relations between Nepal and the country they were representing in. In addition, the Right Honorable President requested the consulars to act as intermediary between Nepal and concerning country to import foreign investment and technology in the country.

Out of 40 Nepalese honorary consulars and consulars to different countries,the following 23 of them were present on the occasion. They were Mr Shreeram Lamichhane (Luxemburg), Mrs Ambika Shrestha (Spain), Mr Gajendra Bahadur Shrestha (Sweden), Mr Angchhiring Sherpa (Belgium), Mr Shahil Agrawal (Bosnia Herzegovina), Mr Bhola Bikram Thapa (Bulgaria), Mr Basanta Raj Misra (Chile), Mr Binay Man Shrestha (Columbia), Mr Padma Jyoti (Cyprus), Mr Navaraj Dahal (Estonia), Mr Paras Shakya (Fiji), Mr Chandra Prasad Dhakal (Indonesia), Mr Bhimkrishna Udas (Jordan), Mr Dinesh Shrestha (Malta), Mr Chhetan Gyurman  Shrestha (Mongolia), Mr Lokmanya Golchha (Poland), Mr Rajendra Kumar Khetan (Portugal), Mr Pasang Dawa Sherpa (Slovak Republic), Mr Pradip Kumar Shrestha  (South Africa), Mr Kiran Baidya (Ukraine), Mr Rajesh Kaji Shrestha (Vietnam), Mr Bikram Pandey (Greece), and Mrs Pratima Pandey (Italy).
