According to Article 78 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal and on the recommendation of the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Right Honourable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Mr. Ram Bahadur Thapa as the minister for home affairs in the existing council of ministers, which was formed on 15 February 2018 under the leadership of Mr. KP Sharma Oli, on 18 April 2021.
