According to the decision made by the National Security Council on 16 May 2017, in line with the provisionsof Local Level Elections Security Plan 2017 to operate the security agencies in an unified manner to conduct the elections in a free, fair, and impartial manner,and as per the decisionof the cabinet on 18 May 2017 and upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister on 18 May 2017, and according to the article 66 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, the Right Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari,on Sunday the 22nd of May 2017, approved the deployment of the Nepalese Army in the act of conducting the Second Segment of Local Level Elections on the 14th of June 2017.
