On the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar, a great festival of Sherpas, I would like to express my heartfelt auspicious good wishes to all Nepalese Sherpa brothers and sisters for delight, peace, prosperity, good health, happiness, and steady progress.
In our country of great religious and cultural diversity, the Sherpa community traditionally celebrates this festival as New Year with boundless enthusiasm, amusement, and happiness. Conveying the message of unity among Nepalese people and celebrated with the exchange of happiness and entertainment, this festival fosters fraternity and mutual goodwill among us. Within the Nepalese culture of diversity, the culture of Sherpa ethnicity and community remains original, civilized, and affluent.
In the end, I wish that may this festival keep unity, goodwill, and tolerance intact among us by spreading new enthusiasm, happiness and delight and inspire us all to preserve and propagate our festivals, languages, costumes and ornaments, cultures and traditions as well.
