Rt. Hon. President received a courtesy call from Minister of External Affairs of India

Rt. Hon. President Mr. Ramchandra Paudel received a courtesy call from Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, at the Office of the President today. On the occasion, the bilateral relations and the areas of common interests and co-operation between Nepal and India were discussed.

During the meeting, Rt. Honorable President said that Nepal and India have been linked by natural, cultural and religious heritages since centuries, thus it is necessary to mobilize and protect these heritages for the common welfare of the people of two countries.

Raising his concerns over the increasing effect of climate change in the world and its adverse impact on the mountainous countries like Nepal, Rt. Hon. President also stressed on the need of taking collective measures in order to protect the environment and mountains.
